The Alpilles on a bike are hard-won — unless it is electric, in which case the climbs become a formality and you come home having seen three times as much. Sun-E-Bike rents Gazelle and Kalkhoff e-bikes with serious assistance, along with mountain and road bikes and everything needed to bring children: seats, trailers, tag-alongs. They offer day itineraries starting from Saint-Rémy, and will deliver to the mas from three days’ hire.

Hire from age 8. Book ahead in July and August: the e-bikes go quickly. Repair workshop on site.
Rates
Half-days run 9am–1pm or 2pm–6pm. Helmet, lock and a guidance app are included. Delivery within 40 km, from three days’ hire and two bikes.

Half-day: €32 electric, €40 electric mountain bike, €15 unassisted. Seven-day week: €210, €275 and €90.
